Monday, July 21, 2008 - the first National Hug Your Kids Day.
The holiday was in 12 states in 2008. It was not yet listed on the official holiday calendar. but they still got out their message of encouraging parents to hug their family members. Both Major League Baseball and Clear Channel Outdoor got involved, We launched the handbook and won the Governor's Award for Start-up of the Year in Nevada. Wow!

Billboards designed and donated by Clear Channel Outdoor, across the U.S.!
We had:
135 digital billboards in 17 major cities that said “Hug Your Kids Today” (33 billboards in Los Angeles, and more in Orlando, Chicago, and Phoenix.) There were 2 in Reno. All the billboards were contributed by Clear Channel Outdoor as a result of efforts by Susan Holshouser, their VP in Reno.
